More CHRL pop-ups and plans
CHRL (COVID + Health Resource Library) and APANO are teaming up again — you can find our pop-up at their Open Studios in October and November!
October 23 pop-up
Attention jewelry enthusiasts: visual artist Qi You will be leading an earring making workshop at APANO’s Open Studios on Friday, October 23 from 4-8pm! Supplies will be provided and yes, it’s free and mask-required.
At the same time, CHRL will be tabling onsite, so you can grab free mask packs to try or check out library tools. If you can’t make it this month, CHRL will be popping up in the same spot on Friday, November 20.
Open Studios are an all-ages, drop-in style third space for BIPOC to make art, explore creativity, and cultivate connections. Come by for supplies OR stop and make some art! We’ll be at 8188 SE Division St (cross street: SE 82nd).
- Open Studios is on the ground floor and ADA-accessible.
- Bathrooms are single-stall and all gender.
- While Open Studios requires masks, people may unmask to eat in between. Food and snacks will be available, plus you’re welcome to bring your own.
- An air purifier will be running next to the CHRL table.
- There is no onsite parking — limited street parking is available nearby in the residential neighborhood.
- Open Studios is directly on bus line 72 and about a block away from bus line 2. The MAX Green Line stops about 15 minutes away.
- Open Studios often photographs their events and has opt-out stickers for those wanting to stay off camera.
